I know how much attention he has gotten for his role as Moriarty on BBC 's Sherlock, and I must admit that it was his name that attracted me to this particular recording. How does this one compare? ![]() I actually felt compared to compare them to "A Very Old Man With Enormous Wings," by Gabriel Garcia Marquez-part fairytale, part realistic. This has actually been one of my favorite audio books out of the fifty or so that I have listened to. Mara was interesting, but I felt it was kind of weird that Noah would want to immediately befriend a girl who was running around in an oversized men's shirt and string as a belt for clothing. I liked them, but I just didn't fall in love with them. Noah was nice and hardworking and Lo was quiet, but a good sister. We get to see the story from different views, so we get to see on land and in the water with the selkies and hear some abut selkie lore.As for the characters, I liked them, but I wasn't as connected with them as I would have liked to have been. ![]() I have never been to New Hampshire, but I hope it is as lovely in real life as it is in the story. ![]() The story was very well-written and I enjoyed the visuals that came from the author's descriptions. ![]() This was my first selkie story and it was interesting and a nice read. In retaliation, he ordered the murder of Castle's family, including his wife, son and father. This sadly wouldn't come to pass, with crime boss Howard Saint wanting revenge for the son that Castle's action took away from him.
